1.Examines blueprints, drawings, or construction plans for information on the sort of material needed, such as timber or fiberboard, as well as the measurements of the structure or fixture to be built
2.Chooses a certain sort of timber or other material
3.Identifies tie off and access sites, installs ladders to fulfill safety standards, and ties off 100% of the time
4.Layout preparation
5.Maintains a clean work environment free of tripping hazards and assists others in doing the same on a daily basis.
6.Marks cutting and assembly lines on materials
7.Shapes materials according to specifications
8.Assembles cut and formed pieces and secures them with nails, dowel pins, or adhesive
9.Builds structural framework and subflooring.
Qualifications
1.Individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily
2.Able to work well in a team environment
3.Can take and apply direction from supervisor
4.Workers must provide their own safety footwear
5.Workers are required to provide their own basic hand tools as listed in the collective agreement
6.Workers must have reliable transportation, or be able to access job sites in any location of the city
